Closed-circuit television (CCTV), also known as video
surveillance.
Wherever you go, someone will be logging your
movements – whether it is the police or the big supermarket chains that are
anxious to monitor the behavior of customers in their stores, but the vital
fact to remember is that all private CCTV cameras may be accessed by the
authorities and are therefore, in effect, part of the state's surveillance
system.
Why is CCTV
an infringement of privacy?
There is infringement of privacy if personal freedom
and privacy of an individual is limited or affected in any other way.
Observing people using cameras is generally considered
as an infringement of privacy because the personal freedom and privacy of an
individual is affected.
Unsolicited capturing images of a person is generally
considered as an infringement of privacy because the captured images can be
used in a manner in which personal freedom or privacy of that person is
restricted or affected in another way.

'innocent until proven guilty'?

isn't it just a huge waste of money?
